Being an active part in making your community a better place, does always make you feel good. Apart from that, let us know why Community Engagement matters.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The participants get to learn more about the particular cause in-depth. This can improve their knowledge and skills in problem solving.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The diversity of the group can empower and integrate individuals, making them realise they have more in common then they thought, despite the differences in their backgrounds.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It creates local networks of community members. It empowers people to be the change agents in their communities. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SAHE believes in driving social impact through community engagement. SAHE has brought together like-minded individuals from a variety of backgrounds to work together on the pressing issues, through TEDxHyderabad Salon events. This is being done in partnerships with resident associations and communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live the Lakes aims to revive the surface waterbodies in the city; and to connect lakes with communities. The NGO &#8211; Community &#8211; Government model that is being adapted in here, exemplifies Community Engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our healthcare salon resulted in the The \u2018100KFirstResponse\u2019 and is focused on training as many people as possible on becoming first responders, for a medical or accidental emergency, before an ambulance arrives.
